Well, I have been super busy and falling behind on the blogging. I am going to try to do better and blog more often. I have started back to work, which is going good. I am just ready to leave and go get my baby girl! We are just loving life and enjoying our sweet Avery. She is growing like crazy and her little personality is really coming out. It is so hard to believe she is 4 months old already! Let me see what has been happening lately....

*We went to the beach for the first part of Spring Break. Avery did pretty good, and I learned some things I needed to do and buy for when we go back for a longer stay this summer. 

*Aunt Whitney came home for a weekend and it was wonderful to visit and see her.

*We have enjoyed some time in Durant and Louisville. It is always great to spend time with family and see them just go crazy over Avery.

Here are some things about Avery...

*She is rolling like crazy

*I really think she is going to cut a tooth any day...she is drooling like crazy and puts anything that is in her hands in her mouth

*She is smiling and laughing alot

*She loves to babble VERY LOUDLY!

*She discovered her left ear the other day

*She is starting to discover her toes/feet...they are pretty soon going to be in her mouth

*She tries to sit up when she is laying down

*I think she is going to be a momma's girl!

*She is doing very good with eating rice cereal

Meeting friends!

I am blessed to work with such wonderful ladies that I consider some amazing friends. We have a fun time "playing Bunco". We rarely play, we always just visit! I try every time to get them to play, but nobody listens to me. I enjoy visiting and catching up with these ladies! Well, five out the eight of us have babies, and four of those five have had babies since October. One more in the group is due in 6 weeks. It is such a fun time in our lives. Yesterday, everyone came over to visit and let all the babies meet! We have one set of triplets, who are 20 months, one set of twins, and the rest are single births. Only one triplet came yesterday and they had to leave early to get home and help feed the rest of the crew. We forgot to get a picture before the babies were in the carseats, so we did our best to try to capture the moment! 

Here they are all lined up from oldest to youngest: Layla, Hudson, Hayes, Avery, and Garrett! So sweet....I know they are going to be great friends!

This is Garrett Buehner. I taught 3rd grade with his mom, Stephanie! She is a sweet and precious friend of mine. Garrett is 5 weeks old. He is such a sweet baby boy and slept most of the time they were here!

Here is my little stinker! She was a sweet baby and enjoyed meeting all her new friends! Avery is 8 weeks old.

Next, are the twins! This is Hayes Williams. His mom, Suzanne, teaches first grade right next door to me. Our due dates were 3 days apart, but of course she had her twins early. They are 3 weeks older than Avery. She is a precious person and a wonderful mom! These boys were so sweet when they were here. 

Here is Hudson Williams! So sweet and precious! The twins are 11 weeks old.

Now we have Layla Giachelli! I taught 3rd grade with her mom, Claire, last year. She is a wonderful mom and friend! Poor Layla's tummy was hurting her last night, but here she is a happy girl! Layla is almost 4 months old.

I hope to get together with these sweet babies very soon! 

allergic to dairy

We found out on Tuesday that sweet little Avery is more than likely allergic to dairy. =( She had a little blood in her stool and the pediatrician said that more than likely it was that she had this allergy. We are hoping that this is the problem and that there is nothing more serious. I am having a fun time trying to make sure I don't eat anything with milk or soy. My sweet sister, Sara, bought me a dairy-free cookbook and the recipes look awesome! I can't wait to try out some of them. I think the hardest part is going to be eating at restaurants. I am hoping that my sweet baby's tummy gets to feeling better really soon!

busy weekend

Well, this past weekend we had a very busy and fun weekend. Avery had a lot of firsts in her life. Friday night, Avery and I spent the night in Durant and Jake went to Grenada for an overnight meeting. On Saturday, Avery and I went and picked up Jake in Grenada and then we all went to Starkville. When we got to Starkville, we went to eat at The Grill with Jake's brother and his girlfriend. This was Avery's frist time in a resturant and she slept the whole time! Then, we went to a wedding at the chapel at MSU. Avery's first wedding and she slept throught it, too! Are we seeing a pattern here? I was a happy momma, though! I was glad she was sleeping because that meant she wasn't crying. Saturday night, Avery met her great-great-grandmother, who is in the nursing home. Nanny was so excited to meet Avery! Then on Sunday, Avery went to church. She slept through our Sunday school and then Avery and I went to the Mom Room during the church service. She had a busy weekend and was a sweet girl! I hope she likes to go places and is not a home-body!

Well, Avery did SO good yesterday with her shots, which made it much easier for Jake and me. She only cried when she got the shots and then she quit right after they were finished. It did break my heart to see her have to get them, but I was so glad that she didn't cry much. She weighed 10 lbs. (50th percentile) and is 22.5 inches long (75th percentile). She is doing great and is a healthy baby...we are so blessed and thankful for her. She is doing a great job with holding her head up and she is starting to smile at people! I love watching her change and develop! It is just amazing and wonderful. 

Here we go!

So, I decided to join the blogging world! I am excited and hope that I can keep it going. I am still trying to figure out the layout and other things. I have a few questions and would love some answers from anyone: 

1. How do you change the font and layout of the header/title? Where mine says "The Donald's", how do you change that? 

2. Also, another question is how do you get the playlist to automatically start when someone views your blog?

3. And last, mine and Jake's anniversary tracker is wrong. We have been married almost 4 years, but the trackers says 10 or something. Is there a way to change that? I put in the information and everything, but it keeps coming up like that.

Well, I will get all those things worked out. Now, on to the fun things and the most important thing in our life right now....AVERY!! Avery will be 6 weeks old tomorrow and is just growing like crazy! She is a sweet baby girl and we are enjoying her and just in love with her! She is starting to smile more and she is making more of those sweet little baby noises. We have to go Tuesday for her check-up and she is going to get her first set of shots. I am not looking forward to that at all. I am sure I am going to cry just as much as she does. It is hard to believe she is already 6 weeks old. Here are some pictures of our sweet baby girl!
